Posts are getting shorter and not even remotely interesting. Must mean I'm enjoying vacation.

Update: I'll give a free bottle of booze to the first poker blogger who gets into the Dallas Mavericks locker room. I'm looking at you Scott.

Only two more chances to win Player of the Month for March and the first $2k WSoP package from Full Tilt Poker. It's neck and neck at the top of the board, there are still plenty of people who can pick up a win in the Blogger Big Game or The MATH. Last night I had a nice little run in the Riverchasers game on pure luck. I was up early with nary a showdown and a little more sobriety than normal (that little problem was solved after my knockout).

Go out and get those tokens for the Big Game on Sunday. It's sure to be a battle.

Tournament: Blogger Big Game
Where/when: Full Tilt, Sunday 21:30ET
Game: Superstack NLHE
Buyin: $69+6 or Tier II token

If I told you what was I doing right now you wouldn't believe me so I won't even try. My plan was to write today that I was about to get on a plane to Vegas for some poker, basketball and lowlife gambling. Plans fell through so I'm onto other things that will take some finesse to make happen. So instead of getting semi-literate stories of over-drinking you get a half dozen lines explaining absolutely nothing.

Last night I baby shat a short stack forever. I knew I was hosed when I picked up AA on the very first hand sitting on the button. Everyone folds to me and both of the blinds are still sitting out. 25th out of 116 for nothing other than bragging rights and a few knockout bounties. Those KO bounties made normally solid players act like hammerheads.

I can leave this short post with some reminders for the BBT3.

- If you're interested in the $2k WSoP package freeroll at the end of the challenge, you better get moving and grab the badge (designed by our one and only Mookie). Seems to me signups are slow, that only makes the field short giving me a bigger shot at the series.

- Tonight is the Riverchasers game. Back to 9pmET Deepstack NLHE. I assume that we won't have to run until sunrise but you never know.

- I completely whiffed on this, but the next Blogger Big Game is running this Sunday. $75 buyin or Tier II token. Always the biggest prize pools of any blogger game. Start crushing those token frenzies.

Tournament: Riverchasers Online Tour
Where/when: Full Tilt, Thursday 21:00ET
Game: Deepstack NLHE
Buyin: $10+1

More Dead Braincells

This is the sign at the pub on Easter Sunday. I figured it was time to put that entire "hey, did you know I'm an ordained minister" thing to the test. Communion "wine" turned amber and bacon replacing the host. It was the last day of an unintended bender that saw me spend 50+ hour sitting on a bar stool over 4 days. Anyone can spend their days sitting in front of their nice wide screen TV, I prefer my entertainment live in 3D. Granted, my perception goes from super High Def at the beginning to rabbit ear reception by closing time. I'd rather drop a bill on a bartender for the chance to hang out with my friends watching the odd crew of people breezing in and out of the bar. The pub is a prime spot.

The Boathouse was always different. It was more a yuppy/Main Line/sweater vest type of happy hour. While I never really fit in with most of the mouth breathers, I enjoyed that fact that I made more than most of the mid-management fugnuts and I didn't have to act like an assclown. Worse case scenario would be that I'd get there girlfriends so liquored up there was a better chance of them blowing chunks then giving up road head on the way home. The new pub gives me the chance to mess up a whole new crew of people.

The March Madness bender did not go off without any problems. First thing at work on Monday I realized that I might have pissed away a good deal of work knowledge that could be valuable. Each morning I found myself doing the mental inventory again to make sure I was in one piece then figure out how much of a jagoff I was the night before. It's never a fun thing to wake in the morning and realize that you did karaoke again the night before. Twice. The first time I see someone holding up a camera taking a video of those nights is the day I decide to go back on the wagon.

And that my friends is how I explain my incredibly horrid run at poker this weekend, I may not have the state-required documentation to drive under the influence but that doesn't stop me from firing up Full Tilt Poker and spewing away half my bankroll for shits and giggles when I'm half in the bag.
